Preventing a fire door from closing can put your insurance at risk – and land you in court if a fire takes hold. But you still need a way to hold a fire door open for ease of access. DoorSense is the new way for you to keep a fire door open – and have it close if the alarm sounds, or at a set time. DoorSense is a standalone unit which can be fixed to a fire door in seconds to provide a reliable way to keep it open – but will automatically release if the fire alarm sounds. DoorSense is incredibly easy to install, needing no wiring or special skills – it can even use the same footprint as some older units. Once fitted, DoorSense is powered by two Alkaline C batteries for long working life, and has a Low Battery indicator to help you keep the unit in excellent working order. Once in place you can have it working manually or automatically via a timer to set a night release time, and then leave DoorSense to get on with the job of giving easy access while keep your staff safe. DoorSense is designed to be robust and practical. A curved, fireretardent casing helps to deflect impacts and stay looking smart even when subjected to extreme treatment, while the unit footprint allows it to be a direct retro fit for older fire door hold open devices. DoorSense is available in three colours: Black, Red and White, and comes supplied with full fitting and setup instructions along with batteries for instant startup.
