Product Information & Guarantees
All products that we offer for sale are from reputable manufacturers and carry the manufacturer’s warranty. If you are a consumer, a guarantee/warranty is in addition to your legal rights in relation to Products that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.
Product descriptions are based on the manufacturers specification and are provided in good faith for the benefit of our customers who should confirm themselves that the item meets their requirements.
Any information on the Website regarding sizing, weights, capacities, specifications, dimensions and measurements of Products is included as a guide only. If you are concerned about the precise size, weight, capacity, specifications, dimensions or measurements of any Product you require, we recommend that you contact us prior to placing an order and/or purchasing a Product.
Some products that we sell may be subject to safety or age restrictions and special conditions may by law apply. Where the sale of an item is age restricted, by law we are not allowed to supply these Products to you if you do not satisfy these age requirements. If you are underage, please do not attempt to order or purchase these Products. By ordering and/or purchasing Products you agree that you satisfy the legal age requirements for those Products. We reserve the right not to supply any age restricted Products where we reasonably believe that you are below the relevant legal age for those Products.
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to restrict sales of gas fittings and appliances to professionally registered plumbers and heating engineers.
Placing your order
Our order process allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order at each stage of the order process.
After you place an order, we will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received it (Order Acknowledgement). However, this does not mean that your order has been accepted by us.
Unless you cancel your order in accordance with our Cancellations, Returns and Refunds policies (see below) or we have contacted you to confirm that we are unable to accept your order, our acceptance of your order will occur automatically on the earlier of the date we deliver the Products to you or 7 days following the date we send our Order Acknowledgement e-mail. The Contract between us will only be formed at this time.
We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason and no order will be accepted until payment is received in full for all Products and any related delivery charges.
All orders are subject to stock availability. If we are unable to supply any of the Products that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that an out-of-stock product is part of an order and we cannot contact you, we will send what products we have in stock, refunding the purchase price of any unavailable product where payment has already been made.
Price of Products
We take care to ensure that the prices of Products on our site are correct. However, due to the large number of Products on our site it is possible that, despite our best efforts, some of them may be incorrectly priced.
We normally verify Product prices following receipt of an order and if we discover an error in the price of the Products you have ordered we will contact you to you to give you the option of continuing to purchase the Product at the correct price or cancelling your order. We will not process your order until we have your instructions. If we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we will treat the order as cancelled and notify you in writing.
The price of all Products includes VAT (where applicable) but does not include delivery charges. Our delivery charges are as quoted on our site from time to time (see Delivery section below).
You can pay for Products ordered on our site with all major debit or credit cards or Paypal account.
Payment for Products (including delivery charges) will be debited from your payment card at the time of placing your order. This does not mean that your order has been accepted and, if for any reason, your order is not accepted or we are unable to supply the Products you have ordered a full refund will be issued.
During the checkout process, you will be transferred to the secure payment page of our card processor where you will be asked to enter your payment details.
All card payments are subject to authorisation by your card issuer. We take payment immediately for most products.
All products ordered will remain the property of Direct Access Automation Ltd until we have delivered the products to the address specified by you or they have been collected in store.
If your payment is not received and you have already received the products you ordered from us, you must pay for or return those products to us in accordance with our reasonable return instructions and in the same condition that you received them at your own expense. If you do not do this within 30 days of the date on which we cancel your order, we may collect or arrange for collection of the products at your expense. We reserve the right to charge you for any and all damage to (or other adverse interference with) any products that are the subject of an unpaid order.
We've put all the details on our Deliveries page giving you the price and timetable for delivery as well as other information you will need to know. We will do our very best to get your items to you as soon as possible. However, some of our products are sourced directly from the supplier, so they may take a little longer to be delivered.
We will aim to deliver your order by the estimated delivery date set out in a dispatch email, unless there is an event outside our control. If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date because of an event outside our control, we will contact you with a revised estimated delivery date.
If any completed or Shipped orders that do not arrive within 2 days, we must be notified within the claim window of 5 days from your order being despatched, as we only get a short timeframe to notify and raise searches for any missing or lost orders.
Right to cancel
If you've changed your mind or no longer need the products you have ordered, by law, you have the right to cancel an order placed on our website at any time before your order is delivered to you and within a further 14 calendar days after the day of delivery. If you wish to cancel please contact us directly and we will arrange this with you. Please apply for a return within 14 days of receiving your order, ant returns request after this period will not be accepted back. Please Email your returns request as the online option does not come through to us.
You will receive a full refund of the price you paid for on stocked items. There will be a re-stocking fee which will be chargeable to the customer on non - stocked items, this can range from 15- 25 % depending on the manufacturers terms and conditions. Carriage is non refundable as we do not get this back from the courier company.
While you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain them and take reasonable care of them. For home delivery orders, you must send the goods back to us to our contact address at your own cost (unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is damaged or defective) as soon as possible once you have cancelled the contract. Prior to collection, we would ask that you ensure your purchase is repackaged in a suitable manner, ideally using the original delivery packaging.
We reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods if you do not return the goods or return them at our expense.
Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract and the goods have been returned, we will action a refund back to the card you used to make that purchase. Refunds generally take 5-7 working days to be credited to your payment card or PayPal account, depending on your card provider.
Please inform us via email to firstname.lastname@example.org within 2-3 days of receiving your order, if parts are damaged or missing.
We know how annoying it can be when a product has or develops a fault and doesn’t live up to our usual high standards or that it doesn’t do what it should. If either of these are the case, you should contact us following delivery or on you spotting the fault or problem. We will always try our best to help and make the process as pain free as possible.
When we receive a product you return because you believe it may be faulty, we will look at the product(s) and, if they are faulty or do not do what we say in writing that they will do (or, if relevant, do not do what the manufacturer's guarantee said they would do), we will sort the fault (occasionally through a third party) or replace or refund the faulty products.
As you would expect, we can't refund, repair or exchange your products where the fault has been caused by an accident, neglect, misuse, normal wear and tear or where the products have not been assembled properly.
Replacements for faulty products will be chargeable, we can send out a replacement (if in stock) once we receive payment for the replacement item. If you have a problem with a product you have received from us and believe this item to be faulty, we will issue a returns form and send the item to the manufacturers for testing. Upon analysis from manufacturers testing results will depend on refund or to send the item back to the customer as no fault has been identified. We adhere to manufacturers policies regarding faulty items and returning of items ( re-stocking charges). Manufacturers will not refund if the item is not faulty after being tested or damaged by neglect, misuse or accidental damage along with general wear and tear.
All notices you send us must be sent to the contact details on this site. We may give notice to you at either the email or postal address you provide to us when making a purchase. (Notice will be deemed received and properly served 24 hours after an email is sent or three days after the date of posting of any letter.) In providing the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of a letter, that the letter was properly addressed, stamped and placed in the post and, in the case of an email that the email was sent to the specified email address of the addressees.
Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude our liability to you for things which we cannot, by law, limit or exclude. In particular, nothing in these Ts&Cs means that our liability to you for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our employees, agents or subcontractors is limited.
You do not have permission to reproduce, modify, copy or distribute our content for commercial purposes without written permission from us. No licence is granted to use any of our trademarks.
All images are to the best of our knowledge a fair reflection of the product, but we cannot guarantee the appearance and/or colours of products shown exactly replicate the appearance and/or colours of the physical products. All sizes and measurements given are approximate, but we try to make them as accurate as possible.
All stock is subject to availability. We will inform you by email as soon as possible if the product you have ordered is not available and we will not process your order if made.
This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
Each of the paragraphs in these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect
These terms are governed by English law. Any contract for the purchase of goods from this site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
