All safety sensors must now comply with EN/ISO/13849 performance level “C” This varies from our current safety requirements by adding the obligation of a test facility. Safety devices must now “self test” before each closing action (or once every revolution for revolving doors). This is acheived by sending a signal down a separate cable that tests the sensor and cabling by switching the sensor off for 10mS, which is then received on the control board.
