The door closer system BTS 80 performs its function discreetly yet still meet exacting convenience and safety criteria and is suitable for doors up to 300 kg. The technique of floor spring is almost invisible placed in the ground. The BTS 80 system with its 3 model variants BTS 80 F (Floor spring for fire and smoke check doors), BTS 80 EMB (with electro-hydraulic hold open), BTS 80 FLB (with freeswing function) and the wide range of accessories allows effective adaptability to various door designs and -functions. In conjunction with the doorcoordinator BSR, a use at double-leaf doors is possible.

Electromagnetic hydraulic hold open feature

The BTS80 EMB Series of floor-concealed door closers provide an electromagnetic hydraulic hold open feature, allowing doors to self-close upon the interruption of electrical current. Once the alarm has been activated or a on a power failure, the BTS 80EMB will close the doors and then perform as a standard floorspring, until the alarm is reset or power restored. The BTS80 EMB includes a selective type hold open with a range of approximately 65° to 175°.

Designed for fire/life safety applications

The BTS80 EMB is specifically designed to be used in fire/life safety applications where the hold open is electrically controlled by a fire alarm contact. The closer is typically placed into the hold open position until a fire alarm condition.
